Study of a traditional Hawaiian fishpond and near shore fisheries management with hands-on experience at a Hawaiian fishpond. This is an interdisciplinary course that provides students the opportunity to learn about increasing Hawaiiʻs food security and supporting our indigenous Native Hawaiian culture through a blended fisheries management system that includes traditional Hawaiian and western science principles.
