Mr. O’s World History (Modern World History) Classroom Expectations

Academic Expectations; If You Think It’s Right, DO IT-If You Don’t Think It’s Right, DON’T DO IT

1. Be On Time

2. Be Prepared.  (Your History notebook and textbook may be left in the classroom) Also have something to write with and to write on.

3. Grades determined by taking the total number of points you achieve on all assignments and dividing it by the number of points possible on all of your assignments.  This is converted to a percentage, and then a letter grade.

4. Grading scale will be typical +/- system.

5. *If you are absent, your make-up time will be equal to the total number of days you were absent plus one, excluding weekends.

6. *Unexcused late assignments may be turned in with a late penalty of 10%, but after two weeks, the penalty is 25%.

7. Lesson Plans will eventually be posted by computer, however, those will be subject to change at the teachers discretion.

8. Grades will be posted to computer bi-weekly (KSConnect).  However, due to the nature of many written assignments and tests, and the time consumption needed to grade such assignments and tests, certain scores may not appear immediately on computer.

9. Classroom participation is a good thing.  Try to do it

10. All assignments and tests must be done in blue ink, black ink, or pencil.

11. Be Teachable. Be Coachable.
