Makahiki ʻEhā – Molokaʻi Itinerary

Kā Molokai Makahiki
January 23th-25th, 2014

We plan to travel by boat on the Molokaʻi Ferry, which is $108 per person.  We will use two 15 passenger vans for ground transportation in order to accommodate the 22 students and 3 chaperones.

Thursday, January 23th

7:15amLeave for Molokaʻi
8:45amArrive at Kaunakakai Harbor
9:00amDrop off ʻukana

amProtocol w/MHS (Hinaikamalama Students) @ Loko Iʻa
2:00pmReturn to MHS
3:00pmMoʻolelo/Kalaupapa Lookout
6:00pmEvening of Molokaʻi Moʻolelo, Fish Fry @ Mitchell Pauʻole
Note:  We will sing Molokaʻi Nui A Hina after dinner (you should be using your class shirt and jeans.

Friday, January 24th

7:00amProtocol w/MHS HLIP (We will do our oli here)
7:30amMeet at gates of Nā`iwa
8:00amCeremony, Competition at Nā`iwa
2:00pmReturn to Ulahaimalama
3:00pmTour Kaunakakai
5:00pmDinner at Uluhaimalama/Mitchell Pauʻole
Adult Competition at Kaunakakai Park
9:00pmReturn to Uluhaimalama

Saturday, January 25th

7:00amMakahiki Ceremony Begins
4:00pmLeave Kaunakakai Harbor via Ferry
