FRESHMEN GUIDANCE

Freshmen guidance focuses on helping students transition to the high school environment.  Guidance lessons in the first semester are largely centered on Character Education topics such as decision making, healthy relationships, and respect.  The second semester, we begin to look at interests, preferences, and strengths through Interest Inventories.  This is the foundation of college and career exploration throughout the high school years.  Additionally, students create their College & Career Binder which will document work done in all four years of high school.

SOPHOMORE GUIDANCE

Sophomore guidance continues the career and college exploration began in freshmen year in preparation for academy and endorsement selection which occurs during spring registration.  The second half of the year focuses on character education, college exploration, PSAT review, and the transition to junior year and Academies.
