Great Job, e na Keiki! You listened well, and in return, learned a lot about how to keep safe when riding the bus. Can you share with others one important thing they need to remember about bus safety?

Bus Evacuation Drill on Tuesday

Tomorrow, August 27th, is our annual Bus Evacuation Drill. Luckily this means we are allowed to wear jeans on that day. Remember that you still need to wear your uniform shirt and school approved shoes. Yippee! I love wearing jeans!!!

ME Boxes Due on Wednesday

This is just a reminder that Papa ‘Ekolu ME Boxes are due tomorrow. Don’t forget to review the rubrics for grading and practice what you are going to say in your presentation to the class. We are anxious to learn more about eachother’s families, friends, and interests.

Two of our haumana completed and shared their boxes with us today. Kaiyana and Sid both did outstanding jobs on producing quality products and in presenting their boxes. Here’s what their boxes looked like.

Great job, girls!

100 Club Members

Congratulations to the keiki in the pic below for making it into our 100 Club! These keiki mastered their multiplication facts and proved it by scoring 100% on a timed test. Their hard work and dedication to studying really paid off. On Monday these students will celebrate this great accomplishment by partaking in a pizza party at lunch.

One of the expectations of 4th Grade is that the haumāna enter the new school year with mastery of their basic multiplication facts. It is very important that ALL haumāna continue to study these consistently throughout the summer months. When school starts, the students who invested time to study during their vacation will truly be thankful.100 Club

Congratulations Tyce and Kalāhiki!

Two of our helpful students from 3B were honored today at a special luncheon in the dining hall. Tyce and Kalāhiki received the Hāweo Award for May for their kōkua. It was extra special because their ‘ohana was able to celebrate with them as they were recognized today.

Keep up the great work, boys!

E Hele Mai… It’s May Day!

Our haumāna are so excited to perform for you at their annual May Day Program being held tomorrow at 8:30 A.M. Please join us for a morning of traditional and contemporary song and dance as we gather together on the lawn in front of Hā’aeamahi.

As a reminder, students should wear their own Hawaiian attire to school tomorrow. They may wear slippers or sandals as they will all be dancing barefoot. Girls, please pull your hair neatly back into a low bun, if possible. For girls with short hair, just pull your hair away from your face as best you can.

Parents, please feel free to kōkua with dressing the students in Kīna’u Pod between 7:15 and 8:00 A.M. All costumes should be returned to the teacher before dismissal from school.

Enjoy the program!
