The Hilo County Fair is in town, but it doesn’t open until tomorrow. So how did Papa ‘Ekolu get to go to the fair today when it’s only Wednesday? Their kumu and Specials teachers planned a great day of learning using a real live event to support them. Forces and motion, acrobatics, art and photography, math, money, reading and writing. All of these subjects and skills were used and practiced while observing, recording, collaborating and having fun at the fair. Just look at the smiles on their faces in this short slideshow of pics!
