The safety of your keiki at Kula Haʻahaʻa is our utmost priority. Thus, twice a year, we hold bus evacuation drills. The students watch a quick video explaining the procedures for evacuating a bus in the event of an emergency. Following the video, the students board an actual bus, are briefed by the bus driver and then proceed to evacuate/exit the bus. Along with the students, all faculty and staff are required to go through this drill as well.
As the students will be jumping out of the bus…they will be allowed to wear jeans that day! The students are still required to wear their uniform shirts, shoes and socks. No need for belts and their shirts do not need to be tucked in.
