Once a year, under the guidance of our poʻokumu, Kāhealani Naeʻole-Wong, and with the kōkua of our administrative staff (especially Kumu Marcie!), our faculty and staff get treated to the BEST DAY EVER of ʻono food, massages, and “down time” to enjoy each other’s company.
This yearʻs theme was a lūʻau so Hawaiian food was on the menu and we were treated to live music by Lito.
We all received a beautiful makana that everyone got to take back to their offices and classrooms: a beautiful mini paddle engraved with our names and with our ʻōlelo noʻeau: “E hopu i ka hoe a e ʻilau hoe i ka waʻa” – grab your paddle and paddle in the same canoe.
Mahalo nui to all the parents who supervised the keiki at lunch and then planned fun-filled activities back in the classroom/pods while the teachers enjoyed their time together in CRBLC.
We hope you will enjoy this short animoto featuring almost all of our faculty/staff. A few managed to sneak out without a photo shoot! You can tell by their smiles that they really enjoyed their time together and their gift.
PADDLES UP!
