Itʻs That Time Again!
Come and check out the cute pōkiʻi of papa mālaaʻo and papa ʻekahi as they recite favorite poems from Shel Silverstein as well as Hawaiian nursery rhymes too. You will be amazed at how expressive they can be.
Papa ʻelua is introducing adapted fairy tales as a new genre this year. Fairy tales, you say? Yep, fairy tales! What are your favorite fairy tales? Come and join us to see which fairy tale adaptations will be shared.
Traditionally, papa ʻekolu shares fables from the famous writer Aesop. Again, this year, we can look forward to learning valuable lessons from papa ʻekolu through their fable presentations.
Papa ʻehā will also be introducing a new genre this year, haʻi ʻōlelo hoʻohanohano. These are excerpts taken from various sources that speak of the deeds and accomplishments of our aliʻi.
Last, but not least, is papa ʻelima who will be using their words to make you think deeply about the topic they have chosen. They will present persuasive speeches that, if done well, will make you believe as they do. What are the topics, you ask? Well, youʻll have to come and see for yourself.
Remember, Friday, February 4th from 8:15-9:00 at Lunalilo Hale. Hope to see you there!
