Today we had three visitors. Thank you to Aunty Misty (Teora’s mom) for spending the day with us. Aunty Naomi (our outreach counselor) spent center time playing with us and read us a story. Pua (Aunty Naomi’s bear puppet) helped Aunty Naomi read her story and gave us each a hug. Three year olds vary greatly in how they relate to adults. Some are comfortable and interact spontaneously, while other children need time to warm up, become comfortable, or feel safe with adults. Adult visitors to our classroom, allow children to “practice” interacting with familiar adults.
