Play is the primary medium through which children come to make sense of their experiences and construct their concepts about the world.  We provide opportunities to talk and represent their ideas in a variety of ways.  Kala stacked blocks and then demonstrated confidence as a communicator as he shared an elaborate story.  He said, “This is a challenge wall.  Somebody jumps off to catch fish.  All the vampires are going to jump off.  When it falls it’s going to crash.  The crash is going to be so loud…………..”  His story continued for a few more minutes.   It was truly entertaining.
