Amelia Earhart Introduce Your Girl to Engineering Day
This event is sponsored by the Zonta Club of Hilo and the Waiakea High Robotics Club. Girls in grades 4-8 are invited to join us for this day of inspiration and learning.
Who is Eligibility: girls in grades 4-8, each accompanied by a parent, and
teachers, grades 4-8 (limited to 40 students)
What: hands on workshops to introduce you to engineering concepts
*Make a robot, program it and solve the challenge.and take it home
*make and launch a rocket
*solve the engineering design problem
When/where: October 5, 2013, Saturday, Waiakea High school library
8:15 a.m.: check in
8:30-9:00 a.m.: welcome to engineering
9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. workshops
12:00-12:45 p.m. lunch (bring your own lunch/drink)
12:45-3:00 p.m. workshops and concluding activity
