In addition:
-read the agenda on white board and write any homework assignments in your SAB daily
-make positive contributions to class discussions and group projects
-keep your team binder (with a dedicated English section) organized and current
-turn in assignments on time, any late work can be turned in up to 10 school days
-return all materials borrowed from the class library in a timely manner
-treat yourself and others with dignity and respect
-abide by the schools’ honor code and student handbook
-follow the Tribes Agreements set in each class
-use technology properly
-follow the guidelines regarding the use of the laptops
-if you are absent or sick from school, it is your kuleana to check Blackboard to find out what you missed
-if for any reason you are unable to complete an overnight homework assignment, a parent note explaining the reason why you were unable to complete the assignment will be accepted
-last and most important, COMMUNICATION. Communication between parents, students and teachers is key to success. If for any reason you are having difficulties with assignments, friends, family or peers, please seek help. Counselors are available. If you do not wish to talk to me in person, you can always email me your concerns. I am available before school or during 8th period for additional help. Do not wait till the night before an assignment is due to seek help. Avoid the stress and frustration by completing homework/projects ahead of the due date, then going back to make revisions and improvements.
