The children have been learning to be “bucket-fillers” not “bucket-dippers”. Each time a child fills another person’s bucket by doing something nice for them, they in turn fill their own. The children have thought of all kinds of ways they can fill other’s buckets. Saying “Hello, do you want to play with me?”, or asking someone “Do you need some help?” are simple ways children can become bucket-fillers.
