Book of the Month: Pigs on the Move: Fun with Math and Travel

This month was difficult to choose just one book to showcase, but I decided to share with you a story called, Pigs on the Move Fun with Math and Travel, by Amy Axelrod. The Pigs are excited to be traveling on Christmas Eve to Beantown. Unfortunately they end up missing their flight. Saddened to be stuck at an airport on Christmas Eve, Father Pig saves Christmas and finds another plane that is able to get the family to Beantown, but they must make many stops along the way. All ends well, and the family learns a valuable lesson this holiday season. Enjoy this story full of holiday spirit and learn more about how measurement skills such as time and distance are used. See if you can answer the questions at the end of story. Have a blessed and merry holiday season!
