How Many Seeds in a Pumpkin by Margaret McNamara
Well it’s the month of October, and that means…Halloween! So I decided to share with you a book entitled, How Many Seeds in a Pumpkin, by Margaret McNamara. The students in Mr. Tiffin’s class are shown three pumpkins of different sizes. All the students are able to guess the number of seeds they believe are in each pumpkin. The class is able to open the pumpkins, count the seeds and are surprised by the results. Read this fun and enjoyable book that applies estimation and counting skills as well as interesting facts about the pumpkin.
