What a blessing of a day! Papa ʻElima took our learning out into the natural environment for our first huakaʻi on Dec. 1, 2015. Our very special visit to Waiahole Loko Iʻa was an engaging and educational experience for all. Students were ever so fortunate for this opportunity to see themselves through their ancestorʻs cultural values and practices. Most importantly, students were able to “give back” through such an authentic learning and service project. Mahalo Nui to Kumu Layne Richards, Kumu Chang, Kumu Noe and Uncle Eli for sharing their manaʻo and time!
