8th Grade E Ola! Problem Solving, Innovation and Creativity

Papa ‘ewalu came to visit the high school learning center on January 26th and 27th with Kumu Kau’i Podlewski to discuss her life’s journey connected to E Ola! Learner Outcomes: Problem Solving, Innovation and Creativity. Kumu Kau’i gave her examples of how she continued her educational journey at Kamehameha Schools Maui and how she uses her innovation and creativity in her work at the Charles Reed Bishop Learning Center. She let the haumāna know that she persevered to earn her associate’s degree through a pilot program with Kamehameha Schools and Leeward Community College, despite hardships in her life. Yet she continued to complete her bachelor’s and is now working on her master’s because the students at Kamehameha Schools inspire her to be better.

Kīpuka for Kealiʻi Pauahi

After four years of collaboration with students and kumu at Kamehameha Schools Maui Campus, a kīpuka is complete. Kumu Kau’i Podlewski started this project in September 2022 to honor Ke Ali’i Pauahi’s vision for Kamehameha Schools, and it was completed in November 2025. This kīpuka symbolizes the three campuses that are embraced by Princess Pauahi’s passion for educating her people. Mahalo to Kumu Ketra Arcas, Kumu Kui Gapero, Kumu Brook Holderbaum, Kumu Kahau Veincent, and the haumāna from these classes for completing this long-term project.

E Ola Pauahi

As a collective, the librarians from Kamehameha Schools tri-campus have put together the Ola Pauahi libguide to inform, support, and defend Ke Aliʻi Pauahi, her kauoha, and Hawaiʻi nei.  E kōkua mai ʻoukou! Share the libguide with the greater lāhui Hawaiʻi as a means to strengthen this movement. Also join in visiting www.ksbe.edu/ola-pauahi for current updates. He inoa no Pauahi!

During the SY 2025-2nd Semester, the Library Supports & Services haumāna were tasked with creating a logo for the Charles Reed Bishop learning center.
