Citing Your Sources

 BOOKAuthor (last name, first name).  Title (underlined).  City where the book is published:  Publisher, copyright   date.
                Ex:  Kallen, Stuart. Life in the Amazon Rain Forest. San Diego:  Lucent Books, 1999.
 
ENCYCLOPEDIA – “Article title” (in quotation marks).  Title of the reference book (underlined).  Edition. Date published.
                Ex:  “Canada.” World Book Encyclopedia.  2002 ed.  2002.
 
MAGAZINEAuthor (last name, first name).  “Title of the article” (in quotation marks).  Title of the  magazine (underlined).  Date (day month year):  Page numbers of the article.
                Ex:  Trefil, James.  “The accident that saved the Big Bang.” Astronomy October 2005: 41-45.
 
WEB SITE Title of the web site (underlined). Date accessed (Day month year). <URL of web page>.
               Ex:  Astronomy for Kids. 17 Oct. 2005. http://www.dustbunny.com/afk/planets/.
