Post High Counseling held its’ last senior seminar visit this past Tuesday and Wednesday. Discussion Points to have with your seniors are:
1) Final transcript submission – Due May 3, 2013 to Ms. Quisquirin
2) All acceptance/denial letters/financial aid/scholarship letters – Due May 3, 2013 to Mrs. Correa
- Purpose for the above serves dual purposes: 1) Class of 2013 data on college acceptances, workplace and military pursuit, 2) **Senior Award recognition documentation. **For the Senior Award documentation, this is voluntary. If students and parents wish not to have the information published, please contact Mrs. Correa before May 3, 2013.
3) Grade Check = Any senior who appears on next grade check (Tuesday) Mrs. Baum, Mr. Akeo and Mrs. Correa have split the senior class and will start making contact with parents and sending “jeopardy” letters homes to discuss potential failing grades. PLEASE work with your student in preventing this from happening. Please contact the teachers if you are having concerns or need clarification on current grades.
4) Mrs. Purdy from Career and Post High went into great detail about understanding and comparing financial aid award letters. Discussion revolved around grants, loans, work-study and funding your future.
