Video 3 is offerend for Advanced Level students who have established experience through classes and projects.
It allows students greater flexibility in choosing projects as we as greater responsibility in taking on leadership roles. They may choose to work individually or in larger groups to produce their projects. Past projects have included the Kamehameha Lip Dub (2010) and the Triple X Trailer (2011).
Video 3 students also serve as Executive Producers for Puka Mai Ka La which gives them the ability to creatively plan the shows and themes for broadcasts.
They also can gain experience through internships and projects with professionals.
The main goals for students in this class are:
1. Proficiency in the Pre-Production process (storyboarding, shot lists, etc)
2. Proficiency in higher level HD cameras & accesories
3. Proficiency in non-linear editing
4. Produce a high quality project to submit to a film festival or contest
5. Serve as an Executive Producer for Puka Mai Ka La & providing direction for their crew
6. Gain outside experinece through an internship or set visit
7. Produce ethical consumers and producers of information
