Assignment 2: Story of Your Name

HOMEWORK DUE MONDAY 1/14: Find out the story of your names or research what it means. Gather photos or take photos to use in your project and bring it to the next class.

Video is a succession of still photography frames. The rapid movement of 30 individual still frames (which flash very quickly) blurs to create the illusion of a moving picture.

ASSIGNMENT: By using still photographs, tell the story of your name. You can choose to do your first, middle, last or nick name, or any combination of them.

Be creative! You decide what you want to tell. For example, it can be:
– it’s meaning
– the story of how your parents chose your name
– what your name means to you
– where it comes from/ It’s origin

REQUIREMENTS:
1. Use 8-10 photos.
2. You must use photos that you take (only 2 may be from the internet or pulled off facebook or any other pre-existing photos, AND PLEASE CITE your SOURCE)
Remember you’re telling a story just through visuals.

You will have about 30 min of the next class time to put it together. Please use your digital camera or phones to take photos. You may also use your laptop camera/Photobooth to take photos. You may print out your photos here in class or in the PRC prior to coming to class.
