Set is done!! It looks great so thanks to the many hands and hearts that went into putting it together. This olelo noe’au seemed fitting for this accomplishment:
‘A’ohe hana nui ke alu ‘ia (No task is too big when many hands work together!)
It’s also fitting for every day that we’ve come together to produce another episode. We reach a milestone of 100 episodes this Thursday (shooting on Tuesday) so please be sure to come to the studio to be a part of this accomplishment!
We still have a question for the week . . . hopefully you are all aware of the Mauna Kea issue which recently exploded on social media. It’s been a struggle since the first telescope in the 1960’s. Yet 13 telescopes have been built over that time and now with a 14th one slated to start construction, the protectors of our mauna have gained massive support through social media. Posts of the video on the mountain, celebrities posting “We are Mauna Kea” photos, rallies organized through FB . . . it’s happening so quickly.
Some critics think that it could backfire and people will quickly forget about the real issues. What are your thoughts . . . is social media working FOR or AGAINST the protection of Mauna Kea and why?
