Kukui copyPūʻulu Kukui:
The kukui symbolizes the light of wisdom that is the practical application of knowledge.  Confidence stems from wisdom.  The Hawaiian value associated with the kukui is naʻauao (wisdom).  We envision a community confident learners who apply their knowledge and make wise choices in their life.

Pūʻulu Kukui Agreements
• Pūʻulu Kukui will be a safe place to learn and to grow as individuals and as a team.
• We believe it is important to share honestly and respectfully in an environment which nurtures thoughts and behaviors that are pono and supportive of both our ancestors and 21st century learners.
• We will help each other to be the best that we can be.

Pūʻulu Kukui Policies
1. 
Be “ready to start” class when the second bell rings. “Ready to start” will be defined by each teacher.
2.  Ask for and wait to receive permission
– to use your laptop
– to print
– to use anything that is not yours
– to leave the team space
– for any reason.
3.  Comply with all school-wide policies as outlined in the handbook, especially:
– Gum and toys are contraband.
– Cell phones or personal electronics may be used before 7:35 and after 3:10.
– Follow dress code.
4.  All school laptop policies and procedures are to be followed.
5.  Check your work areas before leaving.

FRIENDLY REMINDERS:
During the school day the following items are considered contraband:
• mp3 players, iPods, cellular telephones and other electronic devices
• chewing gum
• skateboards, skates and the like.
School computers are to be used for educational purposes only.
Students are to follow dress code regulations from the time they arrive on campus until the end of the school day.
