Aloha mai kākou,

As the Class of 2016 high school counselor, “E komo mai”, welcome to our exciting journey.  Born and raised in Hawai`i, I am committed to serve Ke Ali`i Bernice Pauahi Bishop’s wishes to “educate our Native Hawaiian youth to become good and industrious men and  women”.

As one of four high school counselors at Kamehameha Schools Hawai`i, we follow our Class over the course of their four years.  This enables a holistic and proactive approach to serve our students’ academic, personal/social and career developmental needs.  The transition from high school to college is filled with new challenges, opportunities and decision-making.

With a Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Hawai`i at Mānoa, the cornerstones of Child Welfare, Family Court/Probation, Foster Care and Education were areas served.  This is my 12th year with Kamehameha Schools Hawai`i.

My commitment is to help our students better understand themselves, their interests, talents, skills, dreams and goals so that they can make decisions that are right for them.  Our counseling motto is a beacon to guide our students, “E Ho`okele Pono”…The power to choose what is right for you lies in your na`au.  You choose.
