Tomorrow, August 24th, is our first Aloha Wear Day of the school year. We look forward to seeing our keiki in their aloha shirts and dresses. We tried to add in as many Aloha Wear Days as we could fit in, usually occuring on the last Friday of any given month (minus just a couple of months).
Boys’ aloha wear includes a collared aloha shirt. If the shirt is tucked in then a belt must be worn with the pants or shorts. Tailored jeans are acceptable. And, of course, athletic shoes must be worn.
Girls aloha attire may include an aloha shirt with shorts, pants or skirt. Shorts and skirt length must NOT be shorter than 2 inches above the knee. Pants and shorts must be tailored. Tailored jeans are acceptable. Straps on tops/dresses must be two inches wide or more. Please, no tight fitting dresses and no dresses that would not be considered “aloha attire”. Sandals or shoes are permitted, however, heels should not exceed 1 1/2 inches and sandals MUST have a back strap.
Aloha attire, for our girls in particular, is unique to Hawaiʻi and is generally identifiable as such. The photo below is a great example of aloha attire.
Looking forward to an enjoyable Aloha Friday!
Is this every week on Friday.
It is usually on the last Friday of every month but you need to check the school calendar that was sent home!
