Welcome back, everyone! We celebrated our first day back from our much needed vacation with our Second Trimester Awards Assembly. During our morning oli fronting the William Charles Lunalilo Hale, we had a moment of silence and lifted up our prayers to the people of Japan. We pray for Godʻs healing of their hearts, their spirits, and their country.
During Mrs. Naeʻole-Wongʻs welcoming speech, she assured all students, their family members and the staff of our kula that we are very serious about maintaining the safety of everyone here. We practice our fire, earthquake and lockdown drills and receive high marks for successful completions.
For the awards portion, we learned that 87 students out of 256 received a PERFECT ATTENDANCE award. These will be given out in the students’ respective classes.
The second trimester Hawaiian value was Ho’omaika’i – to be thankful and grateful. We honored two students per class who personified this Hawaiian value during the trimester.
