Students and staff participated in our first ever up cycled Halloween contest and trunk or treat! It was a huge success! Students were absolutely creative in designing their Halloween costumes made out of recyclable material like cardboard, plastic bottles, grocery bags etc. Dressing for Halloween while taking care of our ‘āina. In the evening, staff, parents, high school students and people from the community decorated their trunks for a trunk or treat and boy was it fun!

It is spirit week here at KSM and we are in full neon effect today! So many bright colors, Kumu’s eyes are burning from all of this neon!
Playdough, geography and land forms…Oh My!
Students were able to use math skills to measure out ingredients and mixed up their own homemade batches of play dough. Each group used their play dough to create physical land features that they were learning about in social studies. It was an absolute crazy-mess of fun and learning!
