Quarter 2 Service Learning project titled: Stone Soup- Gift of Giving<\/p>\n

Collaboration and contributing to a community is our focus for Quarter 2. The children\u2019s story Stone Soup<\/em> served as an inspiration for the theme. In the story a Chinese village is brought together again as a community when three monks help facilitate the creation of \u201cstone soup\u201d. Students will be asked to replicate the theme on our own campus by donating items that will service our Hawaiian community in Waianae.<\/p>\n

A non-profit organization called Gift of Giving<\/em> organizes an annual event where donations are distributed in addition to providing a festive meal and entertainment.<\/p>\n

One sophomore student volunteered to attend the event and assisted in the arts and crafts and gift distribution tables.<\/p>\n
