Morning Message 12-9-13

Welcome back Warriors!

Hope you had a restful weekend? As you know I am out today, resting my body. Mrs. Enos is your kumu for the day. I expect that you will show her hō`ihi and do as she asks. We have Ekalesia this morning and so you should have your dress whites on.

Today you gather your new set of 12 words for spelling. As I mentioned, you need to master your words before you can move on. So, if you got all 12 correct last week, you can choose 12 new words. If you got 1 wrong, then you need to have that word as part of your list again. Which means you choose only 11. Do you understand? I hope so. Have Mrs. Enos check your planner with the words to ensure you have spelled them correctly.

Have a great Monday and I will see you tomorrow.

Morning Message 12-5-13

Good morning boys and girls,

We have been talking a lot about Monitoring Comprehension and making relevant connections with our text.  In preparation for todayʻs small reading groups please think about the different ways you monitor your comprehension of what you are reading.  Also think about what kinds of connections you have been able to make in reading. Here are some hints: t-t, t-s, t-w

You do not have to post anything, rather…….think!!!!

Please be mākaukau to share at guided reading.

Aloha,

Kumu Kaleo
