Principal’s Advisory Council – PAC<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

I had the opportunity to “hang out” with a great bunch of students last week Wednesday at our first PAC meeting.\u00a0 These enthusiastic student leaders are ready to make a different in our kula!\u00a0 Stay tuned for great things from\u00a0these PAC members\u00a0as they help to give our student body a “voice” in certain aspects of school life here in our kula waena!\u00a0 For more information on our PAC, ask any one of these great students or click on the PAC link above!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>\u00a0A hui hou e Mrs. Kramer!\u00a0 We wish you well on your new journey!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Mrs. Kramer has been with Kamehameha Schools Hawai\u02bbi since 2004 working as\u00a0an administrative coordinator in our kula waena office.\u00a0 You may have experienced her helpfulness at one time or another if you came into the office or called for help.\u00a0 Mrs. Kramer has decided to move back to the mainland to be closer to her \u02bbohana and we wish her well.\u00a0 She has been an amazing part of our \u02bbohana and we are definitely going to miss her.\u00a0 Her last day in our kula is Friday, September 21, 2012.\u00a0 Stop in and give her your aloha!<\/p>\n

Day 1 a.k.a. Upload Day <\/em>a.k.a. ‘Oi Kelakela Day!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

What does day 1 represent to our kula waena \u02bbohana?\u00a0 For one, it signifies the start of a new 8 day cycle in our rotating schedule.\u00a0 Day 1 is also the day when teachers upload their grades to KS Connect as\u00a0a way for students and parents\u00a0to monitor progress.\u00a0 Finally, it’s a day when the kula waena faculty and staff remind the students to strive for \u02bboi kelakela! <\/em><\/strong>What exactly does \u02bboi kelakela<\/strong><\/em> <\/strong>mean?\u00a0 It means be the best that you can be in all that you do.\u00a0 Whether it’s working on an assignment, practing hula, teaching, supporting our daily operations or caring for our grounds, everyone needs to do their very best.\u00a0 How are you striving for \u02bboi kelakela?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Welcome Back!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Welcome back to school!\u00a0 I hope you all had a great summer filled with fun and relaxation.\u00a0 The walkways and halls have come to life now that everyone is back in school.\u00a0 The first week was a HUGE success!\u00a0 On Tuesday, August 7th, we officially welcomed 65 new students and 2 new faculty and staff to our kula waena \u02bbohana.\u00a0 We also celebrated the beginning of a new era at KSH under the leadership of Dr. Holoua Stender, our new Po\u02bbo Kula.\u00a0 Students had the opportunity to meet all of their teachers and have been trying to acclimate themselves to the daily routine of school.\u00a0 Everyone celebrated the end of our first week with a welcome back dance sponsored by our awesome ASKMS leadership team.\u00a0 We anticipate many wonderful memories as the year progresses.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
