Dear John is a romantic novel dealing with the themes of the rough road to true love and how it survives time and heartbreak and how it can transform us forever. \u00a0Savannah Lynn Curtis became a part of John Tyree’s life in and instant. \u00a0He was on leave from the army for just two weeks but it was in those weeks that they fell in love. \u00a0His visit came to an end and they promised each other to keep in touch. \u00a0Writing letters back and forth made it seem like their love could withstand anything. \u00a0but in the end it was just too much for Savannah to handle. \u00a0She couldn’t keep acing as if everything in her life was fine. \u00a0Savannah missed John so much that it hurt so she needed to break it off even if that was the hardest thing to do. \u00a0John was devastated, but knew that he had to let her go no matter how difficult it was going to be. \u00a0Savannah moved on with her life and found that she could love again and ended up marrying someone else. \u00a0This demonstrates that the course of true love never does run smoothly.<\/p>\n
