Week of Oct. 22 – Oct. 26

Huaka’i this Wednesday: We will be visiting Kumuola this Wednesday. Please have your keiki wear their “E Ola Nō” t-shirt or any Kamehameha School logo t-shirt with uniform shorts. If your keiki has neither shirts, have him/her wear a blue school polo. No chaperones needed on this trip.

Water Bottle Request: With the amount of huaka’i we do, I’d like to ask ‘Ohana if it is possible to purchase a simple reusable water bootle that would be used during huaka’i. Please label with your keiki’s name and turn in to school. Deadline: Friday, Nov. 2, 2018

 

End of Trimester 1: Thursday is the end of Trimester 1. Student Led Conferences are scheduled to happen on Nov. 15-16.

IXL Math: Beginning Nov. 1 and every Thursday, students will have IXL for homework. I will send home iPads with students on Thursdays and iPads needs to be returned on Friday. IXL assignments will be written in planners. Any questions, please let me know.

TFK (Time For Kids): Last week, I sent home TFK magazines for students to read and get familiar with. I will be sending home TFK magazines for students to read and share with ‘ohana. We use TFK as a teaching tool to familiarize our keiki with informational text. We will do various activities using TFK in class and periodically, keiki will have homework attached to TFK.

Specials this week: Monday: Hawaiian/Art, Tuesday: Science, Thursday: Music/Library
