AAIS Training – Mahalo Nui!
Mahalo to all of our teachers, counselors and staff for participating in our AAIS trainings over the last two days! Much work was done by both our leaders and staff to prepare for these training days:

Mahalo to all teaching staff and support staff involved in training. Much work done to prepare for subs, as well as in session work done on unpacking standards and visiting standards based assessment.
ISTE 2012 Application Open
Aloha Teachers:
We are excited to move forward and finalize our plans to attend the upcoming 2012 International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Conference.
Whether you are a novice or an expert technology user, we are encouraging all faculty members to think about attending ISTE 2012. This conference is the largest educational technology conference in the nation. It provides the best teaching and technology professional development opportunities for teachers. The workshops offered are for all skill levels and abilities. You will also see actual teachers and students use and train on educational technology.
Faculty interested in attending will need to submit the following documents:
- Professional Development Request form
- ISTE 2012 Attendee Application

Deadline for submittal of form and application is Monday, November 21st, 2011.

Dining Hall Concerns
Aloha everyone – this is to remind all students that plastic cups, trays and metal utensils should not be removed from the dining hall. Should there be a need for a take out lunch (due to club meetings or study help) please obtain a pass from your advisor or teacher and you will be able to obtain paper plates, styrofoam cups and plastic utensils for take out lunch.

Extension for Service Learning Proposals
Aloha Everyone – just to update everyone, admin has extended the due date for service learning proposals. Due date has been moved from October 26th to November 23rd.
In addition, a survey will be sent out today to gather information in order to make a decision as to any changes to service learning process.
K-12 Articulation Meeting Reminder 10/26
Just a reminder to all faculty that Wednesday, October 26th, we will be having our 2nd K-12 articulation day from 2pm – 3:30pm. Location pending. Focus of work will be chapter review of Accreditation report.
