What is a Microsoft Office Specialist Certification?

A Microsoft Office Specialist, or MOS, Certification is for those looking to demonstrate proficiency in one or more Microsoft Office programs. We currently offer certifications for the 2016 and 2019 versions of Word, Word Expert, Excel, Excel Expert, and PowerPoint.

How do I sign-up for the certification exam?

E kala mai, we are currently unable to offer exams at this time.
Sign up using this Google Form. Please be sure to complete all required pre-exam tasks.

Where will the exam take place

The Kapālama is a certified testing center, so all exams will take place on the Kapālama campus.

What types of questions will be on the exam?

Each of the certification exams are task-based. You will be given a number of projects to work on, with each project containing between 1-8 tasks. After you complete the tasks for a project, you will submit the project file and start the next project, however, you can review the projects and make changes to the project file before you finish the exam. You will only have 50 minutes to complete the exam.
