Overview
Math grade 6 is a one-year course that emphasizes the necessary skills of mathematics. Lesson themes relating to consumer uses of mathematics are intended to show real-life applications. Problem-solving, critical thinking and all of the Standards of Mathematical Practice will be stressed.
Students will learn about the following topics/skills:

Grades will be based on the following weighted categories:
Formative Assessments 20% (Homework/Bell Assignments)
Summative Assessments 80% (40% Tests/Quizzes/Projects)

General Expectations
- Follow the rules of Kamehameha Schools as outlined in the Student-Parent Handbook.
- Be in your seat and ready to learn when the bell rings. Permission is required to leave the room.
- Have all necessary materials ready before entering class.
- Drink water and use the bathroom prior to class.
