PD Opportunities

The list below includes conference suggestions that require travel arrangements.  These are just suggestions if you are interested in other technology conferences please let us know.

If you are interested in attending a conference please complete the form on the home page. We will try to accommodate at least conference request for each faculty member by the conclusion of the 1:1 project (June 2017).

There will be an expectation for sharing with attendance to an off-island opportunity (possible sharing opportuntities: lesson plans incorporating new learning, classroom observations, meetings, presenting at a conference, etc.).

the iNACOL Blended and Online Learning Symposium, formerly known as the Virtual School Symposium (VSS), is the premier conference for those shaping the future of K-12 online and blended learning. This gathering of more than 2,000 education leaders from the nation and around the world presents many opportunities for professional development, think-tank sessions, discussion groups, and networking.  If you are interested, please commit by April 15th, 2015.

The iPad Summit is offered two times per year. In February it’s held in San Diego, and in November, it’s held in Boston.

The first day is a full day of hands-on Pre-Conference Workshops. The next two days are the regular conference sessions which include: Concurrent Sessions – “lecture style” presentations, Innovation Labs – hands-on, “workshop-style” experiences, and iExpert Session – an opportunity to learn from individual as well as panel.

This high intensity two day event focuses on deploying, integrating and using Google in Education to promote student learning in K-12 and higher education.  Pre-Summit activities take place on March 19, with admin approval you may register if you are interested.
