Kamehameha Schools Maui – High School courses are offered according to the following meeting patterns. The credit value for each class is assigned based on the meeting pattern. Students complete a minimum of 8 credits per school year.
- Semester Daily courses meet every day (A and B days) for a semester = 1 credit.
- Semester A/B courses meet on either an A or B day for a semester = 0.5 credits.
- Year A/B courses meet on either an A or B day for the school year = 1 credit.

* Policy note: 1) Students have the opportunity to submit a request for schedule change during the first-week of the current school year for both Semester 1 and 2. Please see your Grade Level Counselor for the appropriate Add/Drop Request Form. Once the form is completed, it must be reviewed and signed by all appropriate parties which include, Student, Parent/Guardian, Grade Level Counselor, Administrator, and Student Records Coordinator. 2) Pending approval, students will be notified when schedule changes have been made and can begin attending their updated class.
