Video 1 is the gateway to the many offerings in our program.\u00a0 It is an introductory course to expose students to digital media and the process to produce programs in these formats.\u00a0 It covers the production process from conceptualization to pre-production planning, video camera shooting, non-linear editing, and finalizing\/distribution via dvd, internet, etc.\u00a0 It takes you from the blank page to a you tube video!<\/p>\n
The main goals for Video 1 students are:<\/p>\n
1. Tell stories visually<\/p>\n
2.\u00a0 Gain an understanding in the Pre-Production process (storyboarding, shot lists, etc)<\/p>\n
3.\u00a0 Gain a knowledge of basic video camera operation<\/p>\n
4. Gain familiarity in Framing and Composition of visuals<\/p>\n
5.\u00a0 Learn the basics of non-linear editing & post-production elements<\/p>\n
6.\u00a0 Experience the crew jobs in producing a live studio news broadcast<\/p>\n
7. \u00a0Learn the basics of ethical use and production of media<\/p>\n
