Consisting of 100 members, the chorus is made up of 4th, 5th, and 6th graders, ages 9\u201312, from the Kamehameha Schools Kapa\u0304lama Campus elementary division.<\/p>\n<p>The chorus has performed at various community events on O\u2018ahu and the neighbor islands, such as the 50th Anniversary of the Bombing of Pearl Harbor, Governor Benjamin Cayetano\u2019s Inauguration, Mayor Mufi Hannemann\u2019s Inaugural celebration, the Senate Legislature Opening Day, the groundbreaking and opening ceremony of the Disney Aulani Hotel, the Pro Bowl, and various conventions throughout the state. The chorus has performed with the Honolulu Symphony, the Royal Hawaiian Band, on Windward Mall\u2019s Christmas T.V. commercial, on KSSK\u2019s Perry and Price Show, on the KHON and KHNL\/KGMB TV Morning News shows, on a Kaiser Permanente T.V. commercial and on the 50th Anniversary of Statehood CD with the Royal Hawaiian Band. They have also made several recordings for the Disney Aulani hotel, Disney\u2019s national T.V. Commercial, and Disney\u02bbs Frozen Christmas Day Special.<\/p>\n<p>The chorus has traveled to the Big Island, Maui, California, &amp; Florida. In 2001 and 2010, they performed in Japan and presented a special song to the City of Hiroshima. In June 2005, they traveled to New York and sang at Ground Zero and the FDNY headquarters. They also traveled to Aotearoa in 2007 and 2017. Other performance highlights include the Good Morning America\u2019s Christmas Day T.V. Special, Silent Night Around the World, two concert appearances with Celine Dion and at the world premiere of Disney\u2019s Lilo and Stitch.<\/p>\n<p>The group released its first CD in December 2000 singing with Hawaiian guest artists Na\u0304 Leo Pilimehana, The Brothers Cazimero, Henry Kapono, The Anguay Sisters, Brother Noland, Teresa Bright, Imua, Crystal Mateo and it was nominated for two Na\u0304 Ho\u0304ku\u0304 Hanohano Awards. In the fall of 2001, the chorus recorded two songs for the Disney animated hit movie Lilo and Stitch. These songs are featured on two Disney CDs, the Lilo and Stitch soundtrack and Lilo and Stitch Island Favorites along with a song off their first CD. They released a second CD in December 2009 entitled \u201cNa Na\u0304 Pua Lei A Pauahi\u201d and then their third CD entitled \u201cHe Koa Mau A Mau\u201d in December 2015 which was nominated for two Na\u0304 Ho\u0304ku\u0304 Hanohano Awards. Their fourth CD is a Christmas CD entitled \u201cHo\u2019onani Ka\u0304kou Ia\u0304 Ia\u201d that won a Na\u0304 Ho\u0304ku\u0304 Hanohano Award in 2020 for Religious Album of the Year. This CD featured guests artists Keauhou, Cory Oliveros, Jana Alcain, Malia Ka\u2018ai-Barrett, Blayne Asing, Kimie Miner, Maila Gibson-Bandmann, and Chelsey Sagon.
