Duties of the Treasurer<\/p>\n

The treasurer is the organization’s official custodian of the money and trustee of the accounts, and must be able to explain the budget to members.<\/p>\n

The specific duties of the treasurer are to:<\/p>\n

1. Properly receive and disburse moneys.<\/p>\n

2. Keep an accurate record of all money received and disbursed.<\/p>\n

3. Deposit all moneys received in the account of the organization in an approved bank as soon as possible.<\/p>\n

4. Have the bank signature card include at least one other officer’s name.<\/p>\n

5. Never deposit moneys received by the organization in a personal account.<\/p>\n

6. Pay only by check as authorized.<\/p>\n

7. Issue a receipt for moneys received.<\/p>\n

8. Prepare a report for the regular meetings.<\/p>\n

9. Prepare an annual report which is audited before it is presented.<\/p>\n

10. Keep all receipts, bank statements, cancelled checks, etc., for the auditor.<\/p>\n

11. Collect dues.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/div>\n
