Welcome

kids-holding-welcome-sign Aloha and welcome to the Pū‘ulu Olonā blog site. Take a minute to browse around our site to familiarize yourself to all the important information. On the right under Blogroll, youʻll find the most commonly used sites at KMS, and below youʻll find a short description about each site we utilize each day.

KS Connect: KS Connect is an on-line resource for students , parents, and teachers. KS Connect provides grades on-line, progress reports, registration, schedule of classes, and more.  In order to access KS connect, parents and students must have their own individual accounts with username and password. Regarding grades, please understand that accessing student work takes time, and teachers will do their best to “grade” student work in a timely manner. Teachers are required to upload grades every two weeks, and are not required to upload before that two week period.

Google Classroom: On-line student learning tool. Students are encouraged to use this site when they forget to write homework assignments or they are absent from school. Students will be manually added to the Google Classroom for each core subject, as well as our joint Pūʻulu Olonā Classroom via their KS email address. Parents will have access to a separate Google Site to check student assignments. Contact your child’s teacher for login and password information. Tools available to students on Google Classroom include:

  • Homework assignments
  • Due dates
  • In-class assignments/resources
  • Course documents
  • Administer quizzes/tests
  • Agendas

KMS Homepage: Here are some of the useful information that you can find on this site.

  • Student/parent handbook
  • School calendar
  • Absence reporting
  • Contact numbers
  • Bell schedule
  • Daily bulletins
  • Athletics
  • Faculty/staff contact information

Photo Gallery: Enjoy photos of team activities and events Pū‘ulu Olonā students participate in throughout the year. Reminder, photos are intended for educational and entertainment purposes, and any misuse of photos will result in disciplinary action. No posting or using photos without the permission of the student is allowed. This site is “public”, but no student identifiers will be used on the site. See a teacher if you have any questions.

Take advantage of all these resource tools on-line to help stay on top of assignments and stay informed about classroom happenings. We look forward to meeting you for an exciting, productive school year!
