Lynn Kaʻōpūiki is Pūʻulu Kukui’s English teacher. Born on Maui, Ms. K. grew up in ‘Aiea and earned a B.Ed and P.D. in secondary English from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. Previous teaching assignments have included Ilima Intermediate, Moanalua High, Waialua Intermediate and High, Lānaʻi High and Elementary, and Mililani Middle School. Having lived on Lānaʻi for many years, Ms. K. has a special place in her heart for the peaceful afternoons at Hulopoʻe Bay with her three daughters.

Jacqui Savage is Kukui’s Science teacher. Ms. Savage moved to Hawaii from San Francisco where she taught science in a large public school. Ms. Savage originally comes from Newcastle, England near the Scottish border and moved to the USA in 1989. Ms. Savage has been teaching since 2009 and previously worked as a neurological physical therapist in San Diego. Ms. Savage graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with a Bachelors in Physical Therapy, a teaching credential from University of San Diego and a Masters of Education from Concordia University. Ms. Savage loves the ocean and feels truly blessed to be in such a beautiful place, full of Grace. Her interests include swimming, hiking, traveling and exercise.

Joy Aiwohi is Pu’ulu Kukui’s Social Studies teacher. Kumu Aiwohi is a graduate of ‘Iolani School, and earned a B Ed in Secondary Social Studies and an M Ed in Middle Level Education from the University of Hawai’i at Manoa. Prior to teaching at Kamehameha, Kumu Aiwohi taught at McKinley High School, Wai’anae Intermediate School, and Waipahu Intermediate School. Kumu Aiwohi enjoys going to the beach, reading, dancing hula, and spending time with her ‘ohana.
