Planning for High School
Your high school years may be the most exciting and important ones you will spend in school.
For the first time, you’ll have lots of choices to make about what you study. It’s important to know that the choices you make for 9th grade – as well as 10th, 11th, and 12th – will affect the choices you’ll have for the rest of your life. (mappingyourfuture.org 2018)
Below are resources and a tentative timeline for 9th Grade Registration for the Class of 2024.
TENTATIVE TIMELINE:
- December : Begin registration discussion in Guidance
- December 11: Parent informational meeting
- December: Teacher recommendations start to be inputted in KS Connect
- January 27 @ 7:00 am – January 28 4:00 pm (live): Summer School Registration in KS Connect
- February 3-10: Registration Open/End
- February-June: Counselors to meet individually with students to review registrations.
- May: updated 2nd semester recommendations updated
