CURRICULUM FOCUS:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Students will independently use their learning to demonstrate <\/strong><\/p>\n

their understanding of Biblical truths.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This year, the third graders will learn some of the promises of God and will also learn how to trust and apply these promises to their lives. Trusting in God\u2019s promises comforts us and helps us to stay close to Him, especially during difficult times in our lives.<\/p>\n

We begin our curriculum with the keiki learning about what a promise is and why we can trust God to keep His promises. They will also learn that God\u2019s promises were given to everyone, some people, or to one person. Together we will read and watch the Bible stories that are examples of God\u2019s various promises. The Bible is our text and the haum\u0101na enjoy reading God\u2019s Word. The haum\u0101na also watch on their iPads and interact with Bible stories on the free Bible for Kids app<\/em><\/strong> that can be found at https:\/\/www.bible.com\/kids\/<\/a>. It can be downloaded on any mobile device.<\/p>\n

On our Christian Education blog,\u00a0http:\/\/blogs.ksbe.edu\/anyoung\/<\/a>, the haum\u0101na can read the Bible stories from the Old and New Testament. They can also listen to songs that we sing in class and at Chapel. On their iPads, they can read and interact with the various Bible stories.<\/p>\n

Every Wednesday, we have K-3 Bible Club. It begins at 7:05 and ends at 7:35. All are invited to attend. Keiki are allowed to eat their breakfast in our room\u00a0and participate in the fellowship and the fun. In Bible Club, we sing to\u00a0the Lord, pray, read the Bible, play games, do crafts, and watch Bible story videos. It\u2019s a great way to grow in our faith and to make new friends from other kindergarten to third grade classes. Haum\u0101na who attend Bible Club have an opportunity to earn \u201cBible Bucks\u201d through scripture memory and attendance. Once a month, our Bible Club store will open up and haum\u0101na with \u201cBible Bucks\u201d can purchase little trinkets and toys as a reward for hiding God\u2019s Word in their hearts!<\/p>\n

Prayer is an essential part of our curriculum. At the beginning of every class, we pray out loud for one another. God graciously answers our prayers. If you have prayer requests, please email us at\u00a0anyoung@ksbe.edu<\/a>\u00a0or crnakama@ksbe.edu<\/a> or call us at 842-8208.<\/p>\n

This year our spiritual theme is \u201cIke piha \u02bbia a Aloha piha \u02bbia\u201d \u2013 Fully Known, and Fully Loved.\u201d God\u2019s Aloha pau\u02bbole \u2013 His never-ending love – is woven through all that we do in Christian Education.<\/p>\n
