CURRICULUM FOCUS:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students will independently use their learning to demonstrate their understanding of Biblical truths. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 4th<\/sup> Grade Christian Education\ncurriculum is a study of the names and character of God. In the Bible and in\nour Hawaiian culture, a person\u2019s name is very important. One way to get to know\nGod better is to learn the meanings of His names. In the Old Testament, some of\nthe Hebrew names are:  Strong Tower, Creator, God of Truth, Unchanging\nOne, God Almighty, The Lord Who Provides, the God Who Sees, The Lord Who Heals,\netc. Our study then moves on to the New Testament where we will answer the\nquestion, who is Jesus? The haum\u0101na will also learn about one of the first\nHawaiian Christians, Henry Opukaha\u2018ia, who was very influential in bringing the\nChristian message to the Hawaiian Islands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On our Christian Education blog, http:\/\/blogs.ksbe.edu\/anyoung\/<\/a>, the haum\u0101na can read the Bible stories from the\nOld and New Testament. They can also listen to songs that we sing in class and\nat Chapel. On their laptops, they can read and interact with the various Bible\nstories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every Friday we have 4th-6th\ngrade Bible Club.\nIt begins at 7:05 and ends at 7:35. All are invited to attend. Keiki are\nallowed to eat their breakfast in our room and participate in\nthe fellowship and the fun. This year we are learning and growing in our\nrelationship with God through Bible games, videos, and other fun community\nbuilding activities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prayer is an essential part of our curriculum. At the beginning\nof every class, we pray out loud for one another. God graciously answers our\nprayers. If you have prayer requests, please\nemail us at anyoung@ksbe.edu<\/a> or crnakama@ksbe.edu<\/a> or call us at 842-8208.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year our spiritual theme is \u201cIke piha \u02bbia a Aloha piha \u02bbia\u201d \u2013 Fully\nKnown, and Fully Loved. God\u2019s\nAloha pau\u02bbole \u2013 His never-ending love – is woven through all that we do in\nChristian Education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
