Aloha Kalikimaka e nā ʻohana o ke kula haʻahaʻa ʻo Kamehameha ma Kapālama!
The title for our chapel this Christmas season was “The Hōʻailona, the Star that points to Jesus.” Our haumāna heard the message that like the Star, we, too, can all be stars that point to Jesus, God’s Son, the Savior of the world by spending time with Him like we spend time with our really good friends, telling Him that we love Him, talking and listening to Jesus (that’s called prayer), singing songs to Him, reading the Bible to learn more about Him and asking Him for His guidance on what He wants us to do. These are all ways that we can be stars that point to Jesus. Children sang Christmas mele, saw their peers act out the nativity scene and heard our own KES choir (KSCC) sing throughout our Christmas chapel service.
We would like to gift you with this special Christmas Chapel video (https://vimeo.com/306250596) to bless you and your ʻohana this Holiday season and thank you for the privilege of being able to be a part of educating and loving your child this school year. Like the shepherds and wise men, we too will bow down and worship Jesus. That’s what Christmas is all about.
Please feel free to share this video with others as we shine the way, like the Star, to Jesus that others may come to know Him and His amazing love. Mele Kalikimaka a Hauʻoli Makahiki Hou iā ʻoukou pākahi a pau. Na ke Akua nō e mālama a e ho`opōmaikaʻi iā ʻoukou i kēia wā kūikawā.
