Using Web Cameras

Over  the summer, the integrated web cameras on senior student lap-tops were enabled. allowing teachers the opportunity to incorporate them into class lessons.

To use the cameras, students will need to use a program like MS Movie Maker Live , which  allows for recording and editing.  Here is a great tutorial on the basics of Movie Maker. http://www.microsoft.com/education/en-us/teachers/guides/Pages/windows-live-movie-maker.aspx

There are other online or for purchase programs that use web cams, and may be of better use in certain situations.   Make sure to review the safety of, and terms of use for any other program you select before you use it.   They should meet KS web council guidelines.  See your campus ITS if you need help.

Here are a few other resources for integrating cameras in your course.
