\u00a0We had fun in the K\/1 session making number bonds and poi smoothies. \u00a0We are practicing making all the combinations of numbers one through ten. \u00a0A strong knowledge of these &#8220;number bonds&#8221; will make it easier for your child to solve higher math skills like double digit addition, subtraction and even multiplication and division. \u00a0Think about how 14 + 23 can be broken into the number bonds of 10+20 and 4+3. \u00a030+7 then 37. \u00a0Wasn&#8217;t that easy?<\/p>\n<p>Measuring and ono mea were the recipes for poi smoothies. \u00a0Thanks for sharing your smoothies- they were delicious!<\/p>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mahalo to all who could make it to our \u2018ohana math night!
