Mahalo to all of the chaperones who came along to assist and help keep us safe.<br \/>\nWe began our learning at the Ka\u2018u Coffee Mill where Mr.Cross and Mrs. Kam showed us all the parts of coffee growing and preparation.  Mrs. Kam, an artist, also demonstrated drawing techniques of native plants and cartoon faces (ours!).  The keiki took their own pictures using iPods form our computer lab.  They will download these next week and make an iMovie of this experience.<br \/>\nThen on to Punalu\u2018u where we were met by Uncle John Kahiapo.  He shared rich stories about that area, including taking us up to a church dedicated to Henry Opukahaia then down to the shore where we saw the bubbles of a natural spring in the shallows and a green sea turtle coming out for some sun.<br \/>\nWe had lunch and a short dip into the cool ocean before heading back to school.
